This shot of an 18-footer with a lost halyard joins other shots of boats in difficulty, collisions, breakages and capsizes on the OOPS! Page
A short sequence joins others on the Fleets Page, dated to between 1918 and 1927 by the presence of the training ship Tingira in Rose Bay
...and from October....
18-footer Australia may be in difficulty here...this image now joins others on the OOPS! Page
Gloria (1926) now has her own entry on the 18-FOOTERS Page. Launched as Endeavour in 1921 (and with her own entry on that Page) owner Charlie Henry changed the name and insignia in 1926 for unknown reasons.
Don't forget to have a squiz at our sister-site www.historicskiffs.org.au the official website of the Australian Historical Sailing Skiff Association Inc. The site features the activities and the history of the AHSSA and its fleets of replicas of historical 18-footers and 10-footers.
